“Chronic” is a new original web series in development based on Sarah's experiences battling chronic pain and chronic illness for more than a decade. “Chronic” is a dark comedy following Sarah’s journey as a struggling young woman dealing with dark thoughts, dumb doctors and the daily dilemmas of being in pain and sick as fuck all the fucking time.
A 2018 Webby Awards Honoree, Menace (co-created by Sarah) is a new microseries made for Instagram. With one-minute episodes, the series went viral after its release in 2017, being featured in Forbes, Glamour, Now This and more.
“I Wish I Had Cancer”, Sarah’s new original book in development, is a collection of essays and poems based on her struggle as a 20-something battling chronic illness and chronic pain. Sarah tackles tricky subjects such as suicide, the healthcare industry and disbelief of female pain with a healthy dose of humor.
Sarah studied comedy writing at The Second City Chicago. The first sketch she wrote and produced, “Love at First Catcall”, premiered at iO Theater. Click the thumbnail to watch her latest work. She is half of the comedy duo Alien Space Bats with fellow comedian Ashton Swinford.
